Chromie Squiggles Squiggle Into The Spotlight | Nft News

3 Chromie Squiggles sold in the past 24 hours, each for upwards of $260,000

Three Chromie Squiggles NFTs, the genesis collection of the Art Blocks project, have made it to the top of the NFT Sales page on DappRadar in the past 24 hours. Each of the three NFTs sold for more than 89 ETH, or upwards of $260,000.

Impressively, two Chromie Squiggles were transferred to the same wallet after purchase. Chromie Squiggle #66 and Chromie Squiggle #96 went to the Open Metaverse collection created by punk6529. Earlier this week, punk6529 purchased Ringers #210, another piece from the Art Blocks Curated series. The total price paid for the two Chromie Squiggles amounts to $639,758.

The Open Metaverse collection now contains 222 NFTs worth over $10 million. Looking at the collection’s wallet address with the DappRadar Portfolio Tracker tool, we see that it contains 36 Art Blocks NFTs part of various sub-collections. The total value of the Art Blocks portion of this portfolio amounts to $1.72 million, or close to 20% of the total NFT value in the wallet.

Chromie Squiggle #255 is the third big sale from the collection in the past 24 hours. The NFT switched owners for 89 ETH, or $237,980. The new owner of the NFT seems to have just started this particular portfolio, with only 5 collectibles in it so far. Even so, it looks like Chromie Squiggles are a focus for this collector, as they also own #5620.

Chromie Squiggles break the BAYC wall

The DappRadar Top NFT Ranking page is a great way to monitor the NFT space daily. What is more, it offers insight into what the top-grossing sales are but also allows you to see trends in what collections are making it to the top.

For example, at the time of writing, it looks like Bored Ape Yacht Club is completely dominating the Top NFT Sales Ranking. Six out of the top seven sales in the past 24 hours have been of BAYC NFTs, the cheapest of these, BAYC #8153, selling for 92 ETH, or $241,080.

Impressively, Chromie Squiggle #66 managed to squiggle its way to the very top of the ranking. Swiftly surpassing a number of BAYC sales and making it to the number one spot with a deal worth $355,840.

Such detours from the general trend can be interpreted as signals themselves. Of course, Chromie Squiggles are among the most coveted Art Blocks collections, so it’s not surprising that some of these NFTs are selling for six-figure sums.

DappRadar will continue monitoring the NFT space as more top-grossing sales roll in, despite the relatively bearish mood on the crypto market.
