International photography collective, Magnum Photos, has partnered with the Foundation NFT platform. They are working together to launch a series of NFT collections to celebrate Mangum Photo’s 75th anniversary of documenting major world events.

This December will mark the second installment in its three-part homage to 75 years’ worth of exceptional photography. Therefore, seeing 75 images dropping over the coming weeks, all curated by African Artists’ Foundation Director Azu Nwagbogu. Each provides an intimate and thought-provoking snapshot into the lives of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.

The photos catalog many significant shifts in the world’s indigenous cultures. Among its fantastic array of stark and compelling imagery, collectors will find prison abattoirs, sacred Mexican rituals, and cock-fighting in Bangkok. The images take viewers on a journey from war-torn Iraq, along Rajasthan’s rich history and up to Greenland’s icy tundra and beyond. 

Those taking a peek into this incredible photography collection will find images by first-rate masters in lens craft, including visual maestros such as Werner Bischof, Myriam Boulos, Sabiha Çimen, and Ernest Cole, among others. Each demonstrates a fantastic gift for framing and capturing special moments in the ever-evolving geopolitical landscape.
