This is a result of a 1,966% increase in the number of unique active wallets that interacted with the dapp. The big titles that dominate the space feature again. Axie Infinity, Splinterlands and The Sandbox make an appearance. But so does Worldwide Webb, a virtual metaverse game with a cult following and an interesting vision.
Despite the problems that continue to engulf the web3 world, CryptoBlades managed to increase its number of users to 31,520 over the past 7 days. We’ll take a look shortly at why so many more people flocked to the platform.
According to the latest DappRadar and BGA Games report, blockchain gaming activity hit an all-time high in April. Gaming dapps attracted over 1.2 million unique active wallets. This article looks at the hottest gaming dapps of the week by combining on-chain activity, NFT trading volumes, token valuations, and news surrounding the projects.

CryptoBlades
CryptoBlades has done well to draw in usership by 1,966% while uncertainty about web3 is on the rise. It could be the result of the big announcement they teased on Twitter or maybe the result of a free NFT giveaway. Either way, 31,520 unique wallets interacted with the dapp which helped put the dapp at the top of our list.
Axie Infinity
The Ronin blockchain-based Axie Infinity ranks second in this week’s rankings with over 183,000 users. Game developers continue to improve the balance, pace and feel of gameplay on Axie Infinity: Origin. And this week also saw the ESport Axie’s Axie Origin Championship take place.
Splinterlands
Over 250,000 unique active wallets interacted with the Splinterlands dapp in the past seven days. The price of its token dropped by 24.9% though, which shows that even the popular titles are not immune to the bear market.
Crazy Defense Heroes
Crazy Defense Heroes makes it to number four on our list as a result of the 183% increase in its user numbers. Crazy Defense Heroes is also number four in DappRadar’s rankings for Polygon-based games. Its TOWER token dropped by 40% over the past week but the tower defense game is still popular among players.
The Sandbox
Not only is The Sandbox a virtual world and a huge part of the burgeoning metaverse, it’s also a gaming platform. It takes the fifth spot in our rankings on the back of the huge volume of trading for its NFT collection. In only seven days, users bought and sold $809,910 worth of NFTs for the game.
Decentraland
Similar to The Sandbox, Decentraland is a massive virtual world where users can play a huge variety of games. Despite its MANA token dropping by 51.6%, Decentraland’s user numbers increased by 28%. For this reason, it makes it to sixth spot in our list.
Worldwide Webb
Worldwide Webb is a slightly satirical take on the metaverse. But this doesn’t detract from the seriousness of the project itself. It’s still in the early stages but the community is growing the game together and its user numbers were up by 32.95% over the past week.
Alien Worlds
With 280,000 users over the past seven days, Alien Worlds makes it to number eight in our list this week. This is an increase of only 5%, but in a market where plenty of trend lines are pointing downwards, maintaining your performance counts as a success.
Farmers World
Over 186,000 unique active wallets interacted with Farmers World over the past week. On-chain analytics for the WAX-based game may currently be a sea of red, but in comparison with other games, it isn’t doing too badly.
Aavegotchi
Aavegotchi makes it to number ten on our list as the result of its strong NFT trading volumes. In the past seven days, users bought and sold $373,640 worth of Aavegtochi NFTs. This is a positive signal that there’s still an appetite among the community for web3 products.
