Stand out sports NFT platform, Sorare, has announced grand plans to branch out into the realm of basketball. As a result, it is cutting a lucrative deal with the sport’s largest governing body, the NBA.

Through its latest initiative, Sorare will bring its trademark fantasy sports gaming to basketball lovers worldwide, representing both the NBA and the NBPA (players association) through its highly polished infrastructure. Going forwards, fans will have the opportunity to collect NFTs of their favourite players and build the ultimate fantasy team, before taking on competitors from around the globe.

According to reports, Sorare will unveil the new game on the first day of the regular season on October 18. After which, fans can begin collecting and competing in a bid to earn lucrative rewards, achieved by collecting points based on real life performances on the basketball court.

This latest move highlights Sorare’s domination in the field of fantasy sports, now adding Basketball to its portfolio. As a result, joining the likes of football (soccer) and baseball within its ever growing empire.
