Sports giant PUMA is making waves in the industry with its latest foray into the NFT space, “Super PUMA NFTs.” As part of its 75th anniversary celebrations, the brand has launched a digital transformation and Profile Pic NFT (PFP) collection featuring the iconic character “Super PUMA.” 

The Super PUMA NFT collection features the brand’s mascot in a variety of poses and adventures inspired by the Super PUMA comic books from the 1970s and some of PUMA’s most memorable sporting moments from the past 75 years. Fans now have the opportunity to own a piece of PUMA’s history and engage with the beloved character in a new and exciting way. PUMA is encouraging fans to use these NFTs as their social media profile pictures, a trend that is gaining popularity in the Web3 community.

This collection is part of PUMA’s Nitro Collection. The German Sportswear giant is using its Nitro Collection NFT project as a platform to launch new and cutting-edge footwear. The Collection launched in September 2022 on OpenSea focuses on digital fashion and innovative shoe designs and represents PUMA’s commitment to the Web3 and metaverse spaces.

Holders of Nitro Collection NFTs will receive exclusive access to the PFP NFTs, with the number of NFTs received depending on the number of Nitro Collection NFTs they possess. The Super PUMA NFT collection will consist of 10,000 units, with 4,000 units allocated for airdrops to Nitro Collection NFT holders, 2,000 units for the 10KTF community, and 4,000 units for public sale through Waitlist spots.

Super PUMA NFTS to launch on 10KTF Marketplace

Super PUMA NFTs are also a partner collection on the 10KTF digital marketplace, making PUMA the first traditional brand to establish itself on this platform. Launched in September 2021, 10KTF is a digital shop that exhibits unique Metaverse wearables for holders of top NFT projects. This collaboration allows NFT holders to use “blanks” (digital objects on the platform) to complete the artwork of their chosen parent NFT. Super PUMA NFT holders will also have the opportunity to showcase their digital items on 10KTF blanks and participate in 10KTF missions. As of February 13, PUMA announced on its Twitter page it will be giving out some Waitlist positions on its Discord channel and also showing some sneak peaks.

The NFT market has experienced significant growth in recent years, with the total value of NFT sales reaching $2 billion in the past year. PUMA’s entry into the NFT space demonstrates the increasing importance of this technology. This new collection is both a celebration of PUMA’s rich heritage and an embrace of new technologies, offering fans an expanded range of experiences.
