Thanks to a partnership between Globe and OneOf, fans of The Beatles have a chance to own a piece of history by snapping up a 1-of-1 digital slide of the famous band taken back in 1966. These 40 slides, in total, were discovered last year in an old filing cabinet and have never seen the light of day.
They are from the famous RETNA and London Features International Archives. Each vintage slide comes with a digital certificate of authenticity (DCOA), these certificates are stored on the Tezos distributed ledger that houses OneOf.
In addition, the physical item will include an NFC tag encrusted on the acrylic frame that holds the slide. Fans that buy the slide will be able to scan the NFC tag using a smartphone, and the digital certificate of authenticity will appear on their phone’s default web browser.

When Is The OneOf Sale Due?
The sale will take place in three phases with the first opening at 3 pm EST on February 23. The first phase is the pre-sale, which is accessible only to OnePass and GLOBE holders. It will run for 48 hours, featuring the first 20 slides, with each going for 0.11848 ETH, 158.62 Tezos, or $199.
The second phase will take place on February 23 and will serve as the OneOf community pre-sale. It will run for a full week and feature slides 21–40, with each going for $250. If the first two sales don’t clear these slides, there will be a third one that will take place on March 2. OneOf dubs it the “main sale,” and it will run for a week, during which any remaining pieces will be sold for $300 each.
The Beatles remain one of the most influential and iconic rock and roll groups of all time. Their legacy is testament to this, and now with this vintage slide sale, fans have a chance to own a piece of history.
