Is The Gutter Cat Gang Just like Cool Cats, BAYC Copycat NFTs? | NFT News

Recently, Gutter Cat Gang released a teaser for an event called “Snapshot” where they hinted at releasing vials. This might mean that just like the BAYC now, the Gutter Cat Gang holders can generate clones of their NFT avatars. Although crypto Twitter thinks Gutter Cat Gang is copying BAYC’s concept.

The community accuses the Gutter Cat Gang of trying to copy BAYC’s idea.

The release date is set for 8th March. Moreover, the team is conducting a Gutter Town Hall event on their official Twitter space, where they’ll release more details.

However, the NFT community has mixed opinions about the recent move. @Misk_one1 said “No room for them (Gutte Cat Gang) and cool cats. They’re doing a carbon copy of BAYC serum”. (See image below)

On the other hand, some users welcomed the idea. Several comments like “Can we at least wait until they release their announcement”, “you can love the BAYC and the Gutter Cat Gang” shows how the community is excited about the upcoming announcement.

The Roadmap

Last year, the Cool Cat NFT project launched a serum via which their original NFT can turn into Mutant Cat NFTs. Well, BAYC first introduced the concept of serums where they airdropped three types of mega serums to each BAYC holder. After the use of the serums, Bored Ape turns into a Mutant Ape.

In December last year, the Gutter Gang NFT released its roadmap for 2022. Where they mentioned several events and collaborations. Moreover, they plan to release two DAOs. Other mentions included future collaborations with established NFTs, the release of new merchandise, the launch of two editions of GCG’s comic books, an animated series, music records, among others.

Gutter Cat Gang is a club-based NFT Collectible Project featuring 3000 cat avatars that unlock exclusive “gang” activities and perks. The model is quite similar to the wildly popular Bored Ape Yacht Club, NFT collectibles topping the charts.
