New details have emerged about Decentraland’s incoming Metaverse Art Week. The theme for this third edition of the art week will be The World is Made of Code. According to the announcement, the pieces to be displayed will focus on the relationship between man and nature and how this plays out in the evolution of the metaverse.

Details About the Event

All these will be showcased in different mediums, including NFT exhibitions, art designs, discussion panels, live performances, and much more. While the Art Week is a Decentraland event, it will also see contributions from OpenSea and SuperRare, who will exhibit some of their top works from the last year.

Other participants will include Cash Labs, which will exhibit mixed-media pieces with contributions from top NFT creators like Damien Hirst and Justin Aversan and even Estee Lauder, which is making more of an effort to develop web3 projects.

But more than just exhibiting different art mediums, the event will be a way to discuss and develop democratized creativity in the metaverse.

We believe that the future of the internet should be built by decentralized communities who do not seek to profit off of user data, imagination, and creativity. This year’s Art Week is a love letter to what the next generation of artists are doing in the metaverse,” said Sam Hamilton, the Creative Director of the Decentraland Foundation.
