📉 Market

Goblintown (+50%), Rug Radio (+40%), Kumo x World (39%), and Deadfrens (30%) floors are all up a lot this week.

Different “free mint” projects have taken volume away from blue chips lately and are definitely something to watch. A rise in free mint projects will intuitively hurt a lot of the lower-tier collections due to the increased supply.

Lil Nouns DAO outpaces Nouns DAO

The Nouns DAO expansion, Lil Nouns, briefly outpaced the original in daily ETH raised. Lil Nouns leveraged CC0 to essentially clone Nouns DAO and its auction format. The main thing that differentiates Lil Nouns and Nouns is how often auctions occur. Only one new Noun is minted every day while a Lil Noun auction occurs every 15 minutes.

In related news:

POAP founder Patricio Worthalter has drawn concerns over his Nouns holdings and constant auction bidding. Some worry that Worthalter has become a de facto gatekeeper to Nouns DAO. Worthalter appears to have pure intentions to match his good reputation.

He believes that Nouns DAO can become the largest member-owned organization in the world.

“I’d rather pour my capital here [Nouns DAO] where I have direct influence on its ability to do useful work than putting it on yet another VC fund.”

ENS PfP

ENS is hiring an NFT artist for an upcoming PfP project. The winning applicant will be paid $18,000 in a lump sum for the IP.
